![]() I checked the online "Media Streamer" page from my web page and now pictures show and music streams. Yeah right! I left it over night and when I woke up in the morning it had all my files listed as being shared in the console. After this go and install Twonky again from the console again.ĭon't touch it for at LEAST 3 hours! I opened up the console after I reinstalled it and told it to rebuild the database. Don't worry it'll all be installed again later. Man I missed deltree!Īfter you have deleted the twonkymedia.db directory, go into the registry and delete any entry with "twonky" in it. Bear in mind there are thousands of files! literally! and at least 1000 directories. It took a WHILE to delete the files on the server through Remote Desktop but I deleted them. I also wanted to clear up the database of failed conversion files.įirst I uninstalled Twonky. Am I wrong in that? I'm pretty sure I'm right as it finally shows my movies on the online Media Streamer and it has the exact same duplicates as Twonky does when I look at the folders on my XBox. I read through the documentation that Twonky actually streams the online streams through the online HP Media Streamer. I never got WebGuide to work either and I was hoping the 2.5 update would work but it doesn't either. ![]() 0 music files there, duplicates of videos.Īs for the streamer it's the built in HP Media Streamer that comes with the 2.5 Update. It still shows 0 music files in the console in the Twonky tab but I can see all the music on my XBox. How do you completely delete the database and rebuild it from scratch? What directory and file can I delete to ensure it's starting from scratch? It seems every time I rebuild it it just adds another duplicate instead of just finding what's there once. I'm guessing that's why I'm seeing all the duplications. If I remote into the server itself I can access the shared folder directly and just play the files using VLC player or even WMP.Īs for Twonky, I have rebuilt the database. That was my intention for the remote access anyways. Perhaps another member has that same streamer and may have some input to improve your experience. Also, I don't see what streamer you are using, sorry if I missed that part. More details on that here.įor the Twonky issues, have you tried rebuilding the database? I'd suggest doing that before bed one night and leave it be. The USB soundcard is just as problematic, you need to have remote access connection established in order to get sound. The USB video may work if the device has Server 2003 drivers, but I wouldn't count on it.
